Marty, what can I say? It inspires me to hear a muso with the talent to cover all boundaries and the balls to do it. Considering the business that it is, your talent, persistance and love for music has reached the far corners of the globe....a goal very much like my own. I tip my hat to you.
That said, a few close friends and I are preparing to build a studio in a 4 by 11.5m section of a much larger garage. After watching the Evolver video and seeing the construction side of things(between us we cover all the construction trades), we would like to know of any sound proofing techniques that could help in the acoustic aspect(ie; high, angled ceiling, etc). Also, our drum room is seperate from the control room, do you remember how thick the glass was that seperated the two rooms?
Thanx for any advice and best of luck

For best results, hire a professional acoustic engineer, one who builds commercial studios for a living. You will not regret it. The evolver video is misleading because we only helped out with the building the day the cameras were rolling. We left the real work to those who know what they are doing. Good luck. |
