Hey Marty, I've been a long time fan. Enough said there...
My question concerns buying a new/used guitar. When I go to the store or if I find a nice used guitar, they can look nice and seem to play well. But I know from experience that "things" can be dead wrong with a guitar that the average player can't notice. Warped/Uneven fretboards/necks and such. I know that things such as pickups and electronics are easily remedied but wood issues are not always the same story. When you find a guitar worthy of your attention, what type of things do you check (intonation?) and how do you check them? |
