  Title : Strings

  QUESTION:

I recently tired the gauge size strings you use. 52-10. I'm use to playing 42-9. I found them hard to play. I could bearly get a pitch harmonic out of them, playing solos was difficult and my playing was much slower. So I'm wondering does it take time to get my hand and fingers and so on use to them? Or do I just have to use the gauge size that makes my playing comfortable so I don't end my guitar playing altogether?

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

Strings are only strings. Being comfortable is 100 times more important than the slight tonal advantage you get from heavier strings.
